Join us for a celebration of WNCAs 30 years of grassroots environmental advocacy in Western North Carolina! The gathering will include a series of workshops (in conjunction with the Southern Green Living Expo) followed by an evening celebration at the newly opened Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville.

The evening celebration is 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Aloft Hotel. The event will feature a great keynote, refreshing libations, yummy appetizers, the presentation of our Esther Cunningham Award, an update on WNCAs 2012 successes and plans for the coming year, and lots of friendly faces who share a love for our mountains!

The reception is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC  - and will be in great location at the Aloft with an amazing view of downtown Asheville and Biltmore Avenue.

The workshops and Expo will be at the U.S. Cellular Center. Check out the workshop information and schedule by clicking HERE.

He is the author of Environmental Communication and the Public Sphere (2010), and several articles on environmental and climate change communication. He currently serves as vice president of the Sierra Club for Mission/Strategy, where he advises on long-term challenges and strategic implications for the organization. He has helped to advise or lead campaigns for wilderness, public lands protection, energy policy, and other environmental concerns in the U.S. Congress for the past 30 years.

The Aloft Hotel has recently opened on Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville and will be the site of WNCAs 2012 Annual Gathering.
